Heybike V1 Pro Launches With 8,000W Peak Power and Off-Road Upgrades

Heybike V1 Pro is a new 72V electric dirt bike designed for riders seeking stronger acceleration, larger tyres and enhanced off-road capability. Launched by electric mobility brand Heybike, the model delivers up to 8,000W of peak power, a claimed top speed of 50 mph and a range of up to 60 miles per charge.

The V1 Pro features a 17-inch front wheel and a 14-inch rear wheel, hydraulic disc brakes and a suspension system designed for uneven terrain. The company has also added app-based controls and Wheelie Boost Assist, positioning the bike as a more powerful version of its original V1 model.

The electric dirt bike is available through Heybike’s official website at an early-bird price of $1,999, compared with a listed manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $2,199.

Heybike V1 Pro Delivers 8,000W Peak Power

The V1 Pro uses a 72V mid-drive motor system with peak output rated at 8,000W and maximum wheel torque of 250 Nm, according to Heybike. The company says this combination is designed to deliver strong acceleration and help riders tackle demanding off-road routes.

Its claimed top speed reaches 50 mph, while the bike is rated for climbing gradients of up to 45 degrees. Actual performance will depend on rider weight, terrain, battery charge and riding conditions.

The model also introduces a larger tyre configuration than the original V1. Its 17-inch front and 14-inch rear wheels use wide tyres intended to improve traction and obstacle clearance on dirt trails.

Heybike lists ground clearance at approximately 285 mm, giving the bike additional room to negotiate uneven surfaces. The design is aimed at off-road use rather than positioning the vehicle as a conventional urban commuter e-bike.

Heybike V1 Pro Adds a Larger Battery and Longer Range

Power comes from a 72V, 27Ah lithium battery with a stated capacity of 1,944Wh. Heybike claims a maximum range of up to 60 miles on a full charge, although real-world distance will vary with speed, terrain, riding mode and other conditions.

The included 84V, 5A charger is listed with a charging time of approximately 5.5 to six hours. This gives riders a reference point for planning charging between trail sessions.

The battery capacity represents an increase over the original V1, which uses a lower-voltage battery system. Heybike says the V1 Pro delivers 43.8% more battery capacity and up to 20% greater range than its predecessor.

These figures are manufacturer comparisons rather than independent test results. Riders considering the bike for longer trips should account for the effect of sustained high-power riding on battery consumption.

Heybike V1 Pro Features Adjustable Suspension and Hydraulic Brakes

The V1 Pro combines a hydraulic front fork with a rear hydraulic shock to absorb impacts on rough surfaces. The front fork is specified with 150 mm of travel, while the larger wheel setup and ground clearance are intended to help the bike handle rocks, roots and uneven trails.

For braking, the model has a 220 mm front hydraulic disc and a 190 mm rear hydraulic disc. Regenerative braking provides an additional way to manage deceleration, while a magnetic emergency switch is designed to cut power quickly when pulled.

Heybike also lists IPX6 water-resistance protection and a battery system carrying UL 2849 certification on its official product page. Buyers should check the precise certification and configuration applicable to the model sold in their market.

These features address important considerations for a powerful off-road electric vehicle, where braking, stability and control matter alongside motor output.

Heybike V1 Pro Adds App Controls and Wheelie Boost Assist

The bike connects with a companion app that allows riders to adjust settings such as speed limits, throttle response, regenerative braking and riding modes. This provides a way to tailor the bike’s behaviour to different riding preferences and terrain.

Heybike also highlights Wheelie Boost Assist, which is activated through Ride Mode 4. The system is designed to help lift the front wheel to a preset angle, making the manoeuvre more accessible to riders.

The V1 Pro includes a built-in Bluetooth speaker that supports music playback and motorcycle-inspired engine sounds. These additions focus on personalisation and the riding experience rather than changing the bike’s core performance specifications.

Wheelie assistance and high-speed operation require particular caution. Riders should use the bike only in appropriate locations, wear suitable protective equipment and follow the manufacturer’s instructions.

Heybike V1 Pro Targets the Performance Off-Road Market

With its higher peak power, larger battery and upgraded wheel configuration, the V1 Pro expands Heybike’s offering beyond lower-powered electric bicycles designed primarily for everyday transport.

The combination of a 72V system, wide tyres, hydraulic suspension and app-based controls places the model in the electric dirt-bike segment, where buyers often prioritise acceleration, terrain capability and recreational performance.

The bike’s claimed 50 mph top speed also means prospective buyers should check local rules before riding. Electric dirt bikes may be subject to different requirements from pedal-assist bicycles, including restrictions on public-road use, registration, age and protective equipment.

Heybike has listed the V1 Pro for $1,999 at its early-bird launch price, against a stated MSRP of $2,199. Availability, promotional pricing and local requirements may differ by market.

The launch adds a more powerful option to the brand’s lineup, with the final riding experience dependent on terrain, battery use and how riders configure the bike.
