Arrvel Industrial Barcode Scanners Expand With New Android Handheld Terminals

Arrvel has introduced a new lineup of industrial barcode scanners and handheld terminals aimed at businesses managing inventory, warehouse operations, retail workflows and industrial assets. The portfolio combines rugged Android mobile computers with barcode scanning, RFID-based tracking and enterprise connectivity features.

The launch includes the F1 keypad scanner, F2 touchscreen terminal and MC51S flagship mobile computer, alongside configurable RFID handheld devices for different asset-tracking requirements. Arrvel is positioning the range for organisations that need mobile data capture equipment capable of operating in demanding work environments.

Arrvel is a brand of Emdoor Information, a manufacturer of industrial computing equipment. Its latest lineup reflects the role specialised handheld devices play in connecting physical inventory and field operations with digital business systems.

Arrvel Industrial Barcode Scanners Include Keypad and Touchscreen Models

The F1 and F2 are designed for everyday enterprise scanning tasks, but use different interfaces to suit different working environments.

The F1 features a 4-inch display and a full numeric keypad. Its widely spaced keys are intended to support accurate data entry, including when workers wear protective gloves. This makes the form factor relevant to environments such as cold storage, manufacturing and outdoor field operations, where touchscreen-only controls may not always be convenient.

The device runs Android 15 and uses a MediaTek MT6765 processor. Arrvel lists configurations with up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, alongside a Zebra SE4710 scan engine. Its 5,000mAh battery is rated for up to 12 hours of continuous operation, according to the company.

The F2 takes a touchscreen-first approach, offering a 6-inch IPS display with a 1080 × 2160 resolution in a 16mm-thick chassis. It shares the F1’s processor platform and scanning engine, while including a 5,050mAh battery and an optional ergonomic scanning trigger.

Both models feature IP67 dust and water resistance, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC. They also include front and rear cameras for tasks such as documentation and proof of delivery.

Arrvel Industrial Barcode Scanners Add the MC51S Enterprise Terminal

For businesses requiring greater computing capacity, Arrvel has introduced the MC51S as its flagship enterprise handheld terminal.

The MC51S uses a Qualcomm QCM6225P octa-core platform with clock speeds of up to 2.8GHz. Configurations extend to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS storage, giving the device more capacity for demanding business applications and simultaneous workloads.

The terminal runs Android 16 and carries Google Android Enterprise Recommended certification, according to Arrvel. Its 6-inch display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3, while the device is rated IP67 for dust and water resistance and is designed to meet a 1.5-metre drop-test requirement under MIL-STD-810H.

These specifications position the MC51S for larger distribution centres, sorting facilities and logistics operations where handheld computers may need to run warehouse management applications while processing frequent scans.

Arrvel Industrial Barcode Scanners Expand Into RFID Asset Tracking

Beyond conventional barcode scanning, Arrvel’s portfolio includes configurable handheld terminals with UHF RFID capabilities.

Radio-frequency identification allows compatible readers to identify tagged items without requiring every tag to be individually scanned in the same way as a barcode. This can be useful for inventory counts, asset tracking and operations involving large quantities of tagged products.

Arrvel says its long-range UHF RFID configurations can read tags from up to 20 metres in open, unobstructed environments. The company also reports multi-tag reading speeds of up to 200 tags per second, with approximately 2,000 tags readable in around 10 seconds under its stated conditions.

For closer-range and specialised applications, the company offers configurable devices combining barcode scanning, UHF RFID, NFC and fingerprint recognition. An expansion bay can accommodate customer-specific modules.

These options are intended for applications such as apparel inventory, ticket management and warehouse operations. Actual reading distance and throughput will depend on the tags, environment, antenna configuration and operating conditions.

Arrvel Industrial Barcode Scanners Emphasise Enterprise Security

Software support and device management are another part of the new lineup. The portfolio includes devices running Android 15 or Android 16, with Google Mobile Services or Android Enterprise Recommended certification specified for relevant models.

For enterprise IT teams, Android Enterprise capabilities can support centralised device enrolment, security policies and over-the-air updates. These tools can simplify deployment when businesses manage fleets of handheld terminals across multiple sites.

The practical value of such features depends on each model’s certification, supported update policy and the organisation’s device-management configuration. Businesses evaluating the hardware should confirm software-support periods and compatibility with their existing enterprise applications before deployment.

Arrvel Industrial Barcode Scanners Target Multiple Business Workflows

The lineup gives businesses several form factors to consider rather than relying on one device for every job. The F1 is designed around keypad-based data entry, the F2 prioritises a large touchscreen, and the MC51S offers higher-end processing and storage configurations. RFID options address operations where tracking tagged assets is central to the workflow.

For prospective buyers, the choice will depend on the environment, scanning volume, software requirements, connectivity and the type of data being captured. Ruggedness ratings, battery specifications and enterprise-management support are also important considerations when comparing devices for long shifts or large-scale deployments.

With this portfolio, Arrvel is seeking to serve organisations that need mobile computers to connect warehouse, retail and field operations with their digital systems. The announcement broadens the company’s offering across conventional barcode scanning and RFID-based inventory management, with deployment requirements varying by model and application.
