OSL Group powers tokenized stablecoin strategy fund for professional investors

OSL Group is expanding its role in institutional digital asset infrastructure by powering the on-chain tokenization of USDGO Plus SP, a market-neutral investment fund launched by digital asset technology company 2WA.

The fund is structured as a segregated portfolio of PrimePlus SPC and is available exclusively to eligible professional investors in Hong Kong. OSL is providing tokenization, custody and distribution services, creating a regulated infrastructure layer between the investment product and on-chain markets.

The development highlights the growing convergence between traditional investment structures and blockchain-based financial infrastructure, particularly as stablecoins move beyond payments into investment and asset-management applications.

Tokenized stablecoin strategy fund targets market-neutral returns

USDGO Plus SP is designed to generate returns from funding-rate spreads in the cryptocurrency derivatives market rather than relying on the direction of crypto prices.

This market-neutral approach seeks to separate the strategy’s performance from whether digital assets rise or fall. The fund aims to capture differences in funding rates between positions in the crypto derivatives market, providing a strategy that can potentially generate returns without taking conventional directional exposure.

According to the companies, the fund had generated a 16.67% return since its inception as of October 7, 2026, while its annualized return over the preceding 30 days stood at 17.05%, before relevant fees.

The figures represent historical performance and do not guarantee future returns.

Tokenized stablecoin strategy fund uses USDGO as its underlying asset

USDGO Plus SP is built around USDGO, a U.S. dollar-backed enterprise stablecoin. USDGO is pegged to the U.S. dollar and backed by liquid assets including cash and short-term U.S. Treasuries.

USDGO is issued by Anchorage Digital Bank N.A., a federally chartered U.S. digital bank, with OSL serving in brand operation and distribution roles.

The use of a dollar-backed stablecoin as the fund’s underlying asset illustrates how stablecoins are increasingly being positioned as infrastructure for financial products rather than simply digital alternatives for moving money.

OSL’s earlier expansion of USDGO has also focused on institutional payments, settlement and treasury applications, with the stablecoin surpassing $500 million in circulation earlier in 2026.

Tokenized stablecoin strategy fund adds on-chain access to fund operations

Under the new arrangement, OSL will tokenize the fund’s units on-chain while also providing custody and distribution services.

Eligible professional investors can subscribe to and redeem units through the OSL HK application, OSL’s Hong Kong-licensed digital asset trading platform. The fund supports daily subscriptions, redemptions and net asset value updates.

An optional T+0 express redemption feature is also expected to be introduced later in October, according to the companies.

The structure gives investors access to a conventional fund strategy while using blockchain-based infrastructure for the representation and administration of fund units.

Tokenized stablecoin strategy fund highlights institutional digital asset infrastructure

The partnership between OSL and 2WA reflects a broader shift toward bringing institutional investment products onto blockchain networks.

For asset managers and professional investors, tokenization can potentially streamline how ownership, settlement and distribution are handled. However, the underlying investment strategy, custody arrangements, regulatory requirements and investor eligibility remain important considerations regardless of whether fund units are represented on-chain.

OSL’s role is particularly significant because the company provides multiple layers of digital asset infrastructure, including custody, trading and distribution capabilities.

2WA, meanwhile, provides the structuring and technology layer connecting regulated assets held with custodians and brokers to on-chain venues across public and private markets.

Tokenized stablecoin strategy fund signals wider growth of real-world assets

The launch comes as financial institutions and digital asset companies increasingly explore tokenized versions of funds, securities and other real-world assets.

The USDGO Plus SP structure demonstrates one potential model for this market, combining a regulated investment vehicle, a stablecoin-based underlying asset and blockchain-based fund tokenization.

For OSL, the deal also strengthens its positioning as a provider of infrastructure connecting traditional financial products with digital asset markets. For 2WA, it provides another example of how its technology can be used to bring investment strategies into an on-chain environment.

The success of such products will ultimately depend on investor demand, regulatory development, liquidity and the ability of tokenization platforms to provide institutional-grade security and operational efficiency.
