Zendure has unveiled Agentic HEMS ahead of IFA 2026 in Berlin, positioning the technology as a new approach to home energy management in which artificial intelligence can predict household conditions, plan energy use and automatically take action. The system combines the company’s ZenPulse forecasting model, ZENKI AI Agents and the open Zen+OS platform to coordinate energy generation, storage, consumption and purchasing.
The announcement reflects a broader movement toward agentic AI, where software is designed not simply to provide recommendations but to independently make decisions and execute tasks based on changing conditions.
Agentic HEMS Moves Beyond Traditional Smart Energy Scheduling
Traditional home energy management systems typically automate individual decisions, such as when a battery should charge or when stored electricity should be discharged. Agentic HEMS takes a broader approach by attempting to coordinate multiple energy variables simultaneously.
Zendure says its system can account for solar generation, electricity prices, household consumption, weather conditions, battery longevity, comfort and safety. Instead of reacting only to current conditions, the platform is designed to anticipate what will happen next and plan energy use accordingly.
This distinction could become increasingly important as households adopt more distributed energy technologies and become less dependent on conventional grid electricity.
Agentic HEMS Uses AI Agents for Autonomous Energy Decisions
At the centre of Agentic HEMS is a three-layer architecture comprising ZenPulse, ZENKI AI Agents and Zen+OS.
ZenPulse is Zendure’s proprietary large time-series model designed to forecast factors including photovoltaic generation, electricity prices, household loads and weather. ZENKI AI Agents then use those forecasts to make decisions involving energy savings, comfort, battery life and safety.
Zen+OS acts as the connecting platform, allowing those decisions to be coordinated across the wider home energy ecosystem.
This architecture illustrates how agentic AI can move from analysing information to actively managing physical systems.
Agentic HEMS Connects Solar, Batteries and EVs
One of the most significant aspects of Agentic HEMS is its ability to coordinate multiple energy assets.
Zendure says Zen+OS supports more than 90% of common household loads and connects with more than 870 energy providers across Europe. The platform is also compatible with more than 5,000 heat-pump models, rooftop solar inverters and EV chargers, while supporting smart-home platforms including MQTT, Home Assistant and Homey.
Such interoperability could become increasingly important as households combine rooftop solar, home batteries, electric vehicles and heating systems. Instead of managing each system separately, homeowners can potentially operate them as part of one connected energy network.
Agentic HEMS Targets Lower Energy Costs
Another objective of Agentic HEMS is to make household energy consumption more economical.
Zendure’s system can incorporate dynamic electricity pricing into its decision-making, including the company’s ZenWave dynamic electricity tariff. This allows the platform to identify lower-cost periods for purchasing electricity and coordinate those decisions with household storage and consumption.
For homes with solar generation and battery storage, intelligent scheduling could also increase self-consumption and reduce reliance on grid electricity.
The potential benefit is particularly relevant as electricity markets become more dynamic and consumers gain access to flexible tariffs.
Agentic HEMS Expands Into Whole Home Energy Management
Zendure is presenting Agentic HEMS alongside its broader SolarFlow ecosystem at IFA 2026.
The company’s SolarFlow Mix series provides modular whole-home storage, while PowerHub acts as a central gateway connecting storage units with rooftop solar, EV chargers and heat pumps. The SolarFlow 2400 series targets balcony and retrofit storage applications with a more compact plug-and-play approach.
Zendure is also demonstrating the connection between home energy and electric mobility through its RangeFlow cargo bike and EVFlow AC Series smart wallbox. Together, these technologies illustrate a broader vision in which electricity generated at home can be stored and used across household and mobility applications.
